Choose Cassandra - Lived it. Fighting to Fix It.
Meet Cassandra
I’m Cassandra Harvey, and I’m running for City Councillor in Ward 11 (University-Rosedale). I have been a resident of this community for the last 5 years, and it has been the most welcoming neighbourhood I have ever experienced.
I’ve experienced housing instability, lived in shelters, and navigated systems that don’t always work the way they should. Those experiences shaped who I am and the work I’ve committed my life to.
Today, I advocate for individuals navigating complex systems, helping people access support, understand their rights, and move toward stability.
I’m running to bring real solutions, stronger accountability, and a voice that reflects the people of this community.
What I’m Fighting For
Housing & Homelessness
Practical solutions that move people from crisis to stability. Expanding supportive and transitional housing, and ensuring people are not left behind.
Focusing on affordable housing and listening to communities about their unique needs.
Safe & Clean Streets
Safer communities through better maintenance, and accountability.
More clean-up days, more walkable streets, more spaces for people. I’ll work to create safer, more welcoming neighbourhoods with better maintenance, pedestrian and bike friendly focused initiatives, and accessible public spaces.
Support Local & Invest in Transit
As a parent, I know what it feels like to worry about your child’s safety on a crowded platform. No one should feel unsafe about using public transit.
I will push for stronger safeguards, increased community-based support on the TTC, and more accessible, well-maintained washroom facilities.
We need a transit system that people can trust.
Why I’m Running
Residents in Ward 11 are dealing with the rising costs of housing, owning small businesses, safety concerns, and feel like no one is listening.
I understand these challenges, not just in theory, but through lived experience.
We need leadership that is responsive, honest, and focused on solutions that actually work.
Get Involved
Ward 11 deserves leadership that listens, acts, and delivers.
